to use R&D agents, you have to both have the necessary science skills for that agent which you can find by clicking on the agents info, and the appropiate standing with that agents corp. lv1 should be fairly easy, just nee to buy the skillbook...

plus if you look....subbing for an entire year on an account is significantly cheaper then the equivalent pricing of 12 plex. IF you need/want plex later in that year time frame your free to purchase it from CCP.
